By retrofitting GWFcoder® meters with LoRaWAN radio modules, water and gas readings can be automatically collected via the “Drive-by” and LoRaWAN hybrid system. Meter readings are transmitted to a network server via a LoRaWAN radio network and processed from there using MEx Mobile Exchange.

Thanks to Lorina’s new IoT sensor technologies, the city of Lucerne can monitor parking occupancy in real time and manage it efficiently on the alfons.io IoT platform. With the iParkiere Bus app, tour bus drivers can also locate available parking spaces and navigate directly to them.
